Manduka Cork Block

Our fine-grain cork blocks keep up with our green mission by being made from a sustainable resource, as well as needing no toxic chemicals to produce. These blocks set the  high-performance standard in yoga props and are created from fine-grain cork. They have smooth, rounded edges and are 4 inches tall, 6 inches wide, 9 inches long and weigh 2.5 pounds. Fine-grain cork blocks are more firm than foam blocks, as well as, lighter and more resilient than other brands of coarse-grain cork blocks. You will find our cork blocks feel more secure and provide better support than foam blocks. To clean, simply wipe them with a damp cloth, or use any of our yoga mat cleaning products or wipes that contain no harsh chemicals.

How green is cork? Cork comes from only the outer layer of bark from the Quercus suber tree and is harvested about every 10 years. This tree is unique in that this bark can be harvested and more bark will grow in its place, while the tree is still protected by the inner layer of bark. Quercus suber is native to the area around the Mediterranean but has been grown in similar climates, around the world.
